Access to onsite car parking
We will be opening access to car park 4 for all staff working over the Christmas period, even if you would not normally be eligible to park.
Staff working during that time can register to access the parking by contacting the access office and completing a form (if you’ve accessed the onsite parking over the last year you won’t need to re-register). You will then be able to enter car park 4 from 06:00 on Friday 24 December 2021 until 23:59 on Monday 03 January 2022 using your CUH ID badge or automated number plate recognition if registered. From Tuesday 04 January 2022, normal parking restrictions and eligibility will resume (those not eligible to park after that time will still be able to exit the car park without issue).
Please do not take a ticket to enter car parks – staff taking a ticket will be charged visitor rate.
To support staff, whose normal means of travel to and from work, i.e. public transport, is disrupted over Christmas and new year, we have arranged for a taxi service to be available. This will run from 24 December to 03 January inclusive.
If you require support with your commute, please contact either the Staff Bank (during working hours) or the Contact Centre who will provide you with an account number and name. You will book your taxi directly with Panther Taxis (01223 715715) and will need the account number and name otherwise you may be charged directly. At the time of booking you will be required to provide your name and Addenbrooke’s email address.
The driver of your taxi will ask to see your hospital ID badge at the start of your journey.
