Dr Susie Hunt, CUH-trained past GP/chaplain, has drawn together a small team of highly experienced, pastorally-skilled GPs to help give 1:1 support to CUH medical & surgical colleagues, consultants and those in training, at this critical time. Wise and kind leaders in their own field – past GP tutors, FRCGPs, trainers and mentors – the team have a shared understanding of the pressures on doctors which uniquely informs their role in ‘coming alongside’ as peers at this time.

A one-to-one pastoral supervision, or ‘personal pitstop’, enables doctors to personally pull-up, offload, reflect and refuel – with support and encouragement, a sounding board and reflection:

  • “I can honestly say I would not be where I am today without Doctors-for-Doctors support, in fact I might not have been here at all.”
  • “These sessions have been a lifeline for me, I don’t know how I would have got through the last few months without your support.”
  • “Absolutely transformational – I had lost all meaning, and you have helped me find myself again”
  • “It has been like a lighthouse in the darkest time in my life so far”

Contact us and one of the Doctors-for-Doctors team can meet with you by videocall at a suitable time and potentially stay in touch through/after this time. Zoom debrief group sessions for trainees/consultants teams can also be provided on discussion.
